Executive Director of Transportation

Kim Crabtree has served as Transportation Director since July 1, 2016. She oversees all transportation operations, including vehicle maintenance, staff training, and ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students. Kim has worked in transportation for over 34 years, including prior leadership roles at Greater Albany Public Schools and Sherwood School District. Kim serves as a board member for Oregon Pupil Transportation Association helping members benefit from professional development opportunities, professional resources and community, and support from their peers. Kim also serves as a member of the Safe Routes to School Advisory Committee.

Assistant Director of Transportation - Bend

Tina Bandy is a longtime Central Oregon resident with deep ties to Bend–La Pine Schools, has three adult children who attended BLS schools, and has served our Transportation Department for 28 years. Tina began as a driver, advanced to Driver Trainer, and has been Assistant Director of the Bend facility since 2018. Equity anchors her leadership; in 2020 she helped launch the Equity Coalition and Alliance. Tina's "happy" place is with her family, making sawdust, and starting projects that may or may not get finished.

Assistant Director of Transportation - La Pine

Chris Mather serves as the Assistant Director for Bend–La Pine Schools Transportation, overseeing operations at the La Pine facility, and brings 15 years of experience within the district. Previously a Training Coordinator, his commitment to safety, professional development, and building a positive workplace culture has shaped the way he leads and supports his team. Beyond the district, he serves as President-Elect of the Oregon Pupil Transportation Association, where he advocates for industry best practices and supports transportation professionals across the state.
