Special Education Enrollment

Welcome to Bend-La Pine Schools! If you have been directed to this page, you have a 3-4 year old student that is receiving services at the Alyce Hatch Learning Center. Please follow the directions below to enroll your student into our school so that they may begin to receive services, like bus transportation.

How to Enroll

Step 1 — Immunization Requirements

Step 2 — Gather Required Documents

Before you start, gather:

Proof of age document (birth certificate, passport, or similar document)
Proof of residential address displaying the name of parent or guardian, home address, and date. Examples include: a rental agreement, a utility bill dated within the last 30 days at time of enrollment, or a governmental assistance statement. (Tax documentation is not accepted.)
Immunization records: Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status, or an approved exemption. Visit our Immunization information page for detailed information.
Recent special education records (if applicable)
Custody documentation (if applicable)
Dental Form (for students 7 years of age or younger)
Emergency contact information
Previous school's contact information (not required at the start of Kindergarten)

If enrolling online you may upload scanned versions of your documents. Otherwise, please deliver them to your designated neighborhood school. Families may be asked to submit additional documents as necessary. For questions, contact student-request@bend.k12.or.us.

Step 3 — Registration (online or paper)

New Families

If you have never enrolled a student in BLS, create an account and complete Online Registration.

Open Online Registration.
Select Create a New Account and finish the prompts. Your login becomes your ParentVUE account.

When enrolling, you will be looking for the 2025-2026 "ECSE New Enrollments Information Pre-K ONLY" module.

Current / returning

Use ParentVUE if you have a student enrolled now or previously — even for a new sibling.

Forgot your password? On the ParentVUE login screen: More Options → Forgot Password.

Need account access? Email student-request@bend.k12.or.us or call your school.

Register or update online

Sign in: Online Registration or ParentVUE → Enrollment / Update (upper right).
Choose the right module ECSE New Enrollments Information Pre-K ONLY.
Track status: Use the Status tab for application status and Choice/ACR offers.
Messages: Check the Synergy Mail tab for system emails.

Parents can track their online registration applications on the Status tab located at the upper right hand side of their ParentVUE account. This is also where parents will accept or decline Choice Option or Area Change Request placement offers.

If you do not want to use the online enrollment process, you may download an enrollment form below. You also may request an enrollment form from the Education Center.

Submit the completed form and all required documents to the Education Center, 520 NW Wall Street, Bend. You will be contacted from a neighborhood school to complete your enrollment.
