Have you registered your student to ride the bus? 

Register through the ParentVUE website.

  1. Log in to your ParentVUE account.
  2. Select the "Annual Request for Transportation" tile.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete registration.

Bend-La Pine Schools uses My Ride K-12 for route information, bus tracking, and communication. This digital service is available to all students and families, including those attending Choice Option schools.

The My Ride K-12 app provides real-time GPS bus locations, route details, and messages from Transportation with important updates. To use the app, you will need your studentโ€™s ID number.

Bus Rider Expectations

Bend-La Pine Schools has established a code of conduct and disciplinary procedures to help ensure student safety on school buses. This code includes rules adopted by the Oregon Department of Education, as well as additional rules set by the District. The full details are available in Board Policy EEACC-AP (Student Conduct on School Buses) and Administrative Regulation EEACC-AR (Conduct on School Buses) . Students and parents are encouraged to review these documents carefully.

Technology Use

  • Personal use of cell phones is allowed on the bus as long as it does not cause distractions. 
  • Use of technology may not interfere with our core principles of respect and safety.
  • Devices may not be passed back and forth between students.
  • Students are not allowed to use cameras on the bus nor share images to social media.
  • Devices must be kept below seatbacks.
  •  Use of headphones are required:
    • when listening to music, video, or games.
    • in only ONE ear to allow students to hear instructions from their driver.
  • Students may not show to other students any disrespectful or offensive movies, recordings, or images that are against district ethics (violence, pornography, etc.).
  • Students who misuse technology on the bus may be asked by the operator to put their phone away.
  • If misuse continues, students may have their device confiscate to be returned at the student's stop.
  • Students who do not follow these guidelines may lose technology privileges and/or face other disciplinary actions.

Families with students registered for transportation can view bus stop locations, transfer stations, and more by following the bus route lookup steps.

RFID Program

The Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) Program is a computerized monitoring system allowing the district Transportation staff and parents to know when and where a student has entered or exited the bus.

Attendance Area

Courtesy Rides

A courtesy rider is a student who requests transportation either to or from a school outside their assigned attendance boundary, or who lives within a non-transportation zone for their resident school.

All requests must be approved. Families will be notified of their request status by early November.

Students may not ride the bus until they have received approval. Courtesy rides are granted based on available space.
