iPads in the Classroom

iPads in Bend-La Pine Schools are used as teacher-directed tools that supplement instructional practices.

They support delivery of curriculum, access to instructional materials, and completion of assessment across grade levels.  Our expectation is that iPads are used in moderation and in developmentally appropriate and purposeful ways.

We use devices and technology intentionally to support and enhance learning experiences and outcomes.

Technology use in classrooms helps students:

  • Build skills aligned to state technology standards
  • Engage with content in meaningful ways
  • Demonstrate learning
  • Spark creativity
  • Collaborate with peers and teachers
The U.S. Department of Education's National Educational Technology Plan highlights how technology can support student learning and expand opportunities when used effectively.
